DIY Paper Party Garlands

Bella Breakdown
In case you haven’t heard, without some cute DIY colorful paper garlands, you might as well not even have a party. Where would people take cute Instagram pictures in front of? What would guests talk about over craft cocktails? Don’t worry, if you missed the boat we’re here to take you ashore. These two party garlands are super cute and simple; with a little extra time and TLC you’ll have some gorgeous garlands in a snap!

For the first garland start by cutting pieces of light colored velum into medium sized circles – a circle cutter really saves a lot of time for this step, but if you don’t have one a few best friends a bottle of wine will do. Next, fold them in half and stick together with double-stick tape. String onto some monofilament wire, also known as fishing line and carefully place so your floating orbs of velum catch the afternoon light.

For your next garland you’ll need extra wide crepe paper and a pair of fridge cutting scissors. Your time is seriously worth more than the pair of scissors, just trust us and do not try without. Fringe the edges on both sides and pat yourself on the back as you twist it back and forth to find the perfect shape. Party on!
