How to Make Geometric Shaped White Paper Lanterns

Bella Breakdown
The winter months are a wonderful time for nesting. Fixing the little things we’ve meaning to around the house and bringing new things we love into our space to make it feel all the more like home. But if you’re on a budget, all those new geometric lights you’re drooling over might seem out of reach. Pssst … why don’t you try making your own!?

All you’ll need is:
•Template
•Translucent Paper
•Ruler
•Pencil
•Scissors
•Bone Folder
•Double Sided Tape
•LED Lights

Start by printing out a template and deciding what size you’d like to make your lanterns. You could make small ones for a bookshelf, or larger ones as a table accessory. Scale the template to the size you want and place your translucent paper over top.

Then take your bone folder (we just used a dull butter knife) and make a crease on all of the dotted lines, take your ruler, clear plastic rulers are amazing and make this 10x easier, and trace a light pencil line over all the solid lines.

Next cut out your lantern either using scissors or a cutting mat and exact knife if you chose a smaller size.

Finally, take your bone folder and reinforce all of your creases. Place a piece of double-stick tape on each flap and assemble!
