Relationship Warning Signs

Being in a relationship is difficult, but rewarding. It can have really high highs and really low lows. Sometimes it can be hard to tell if your relationship problems are normal, or if it is a sign that your relationship is going south. There are some warnings that you should look for that might be telling you it’s time to call it quits and say, “Thank you, next!”

1. You put in more effort
If you are always the one making plans, paying the bill, solving the problem, or admitting defeat in a fight, then you are giving way more than you are getting.

2. You keep score
If you are always taking note of what your partner has or hasn’t done, or if your partner does this to you, then you may not be in a healthy relationship. Being together isn’t about tally marks, its about giving to that person and expecting nothing in return (but then getting something in return because they are a good person!).

3. You can’t remember who you were before the relationship
In unhealthy relationships, people can lose themselves. If you haven’t actually felt like yourself in a long time, then it may be because your partner is changing you for the worse.

4. You can’t move past an argument
If you fund yourself constantly arguing about the same things on repeat, then that means you aren’t getting over the issues you have with one another. It is important to be able to move forward as a couple and not get stuck on your problems, and if you can’t do that they may not be right for you.
