Cleaning your makeup brushes is one of the most important part of your makeup routine, that’s why when Bellas tell us they’ve never cleaned their brushes before we’re shocked. Oil and grease can build up along with bacteria, and can go right onto your face every morning.

Just squirt a small amount of dish soap into your hand and swirl the brush around in it. The key is using just a drop to avoid drying out the brushes. Rinse very well using warm water, squeezing out any excess and lay the brushes flat to air-dry overnight.

For a weekly clean you can use a brush cleaning solution, just spray onto the brush and swirl onto a napkin or paper towel.

If you’re just switching between shadow color, dip the brush in some translucent powder and swirl on a napkin.
