It’s Never Too Late to Learn How to Swim

Bella Breakdown

I have met a shocking amount of adults that, to this day, do not know how to swim. Sure, they’re comfortable in a shallow pool, and might even be able to put their head under. But, if thrown into the deep end and forced to swim to the other side, well, they’d likely have to be rescued in a very dramatic fashion.

Many adults feel as though they have reached the point in their lives where it’s just too late to bother to learn how to swim. And to that I say, “are you crazy!?” It is never too late to learn how to swim, or at least just acquire basic survival tips while in deep water. There are plenty of classes offered that teach adults how to swim in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.

As the weather seems to be perpetually getting hotter, it might be nice to hit the pool, a lake, a beach, or some sort of body of water. It’s completely unenjoyable if you are too afraid to go in for fear of not being able to swim! Swimming is also a great way to get exercise. Honestly, at its most basic level, swimming is not a hard thing to learn. Here’s how I see it, we are beings that contain a significant amount of water in our makeup, and therefore we can allow ourselves to be one with the water!
