Make It Simple: Dip-Dyed Napkins

We are all over this season’s dip-dyed trend! This is perfect way to update your cloth napkins with a look for summer and add a festive touch to your next patio party. What’s great about this project is that you can customize it to go with any color scheme.

All you need for this easy DIY is:

Salt
Water
Dye
Spoon
Gloves
2 tubs
measuring cup
napkins

Start by filling your first bin with water and soak your napkins. In the second bin combine water, one cup of salt and the amount of dye specified on the packaging, stir until completely incorporated. Make sure you have your rubber gloves on and take your first napkin out of the bin.

First soak the whole napkin in the dye solution, next soak half the napkin in the dye and finally a quarter of the napkin. Allow to dry either flat or with the darkest dyed section hanging down.

Repeat with your remaining napkins and run through the laundry and get ready to impress!
