Make Your Own Tamale Wreath

Taking down your pretty green wreath is the final sign that the holidays have come and gone. We were pretty sad to see it go.

If your door is looking a little empty now, we’ve got the perfect solution. Here’s a DIY non-holiday wreath perfect for the winter season that easy to make and will look fabulous in your home.

Just take your dried corn husk and tear it in half. Dip in a bowl of water so it become pliable, create a loop with the husk and secure with a pin to your wreath base. We like the hay wreaths because any bare spots wouldn’t show and it’s an easy material to pin.

Repeat, loping the husks in layers all the way around the wreath. Finish with a nice big bow for a pop of color at the bottom of the wreath, then loop another piece of your ribbon through the top for it to hang from.

Now you can fill that void and add another festive element to your home and welcome in the new year with panache!
