You are on the couch. You’re about 8 episodes in to a new show. Suddenly thoughts from your outside, non-television life start to creep up on you. You think about all of the junk food you’ve eaten in the past week. You think about the last time you went to the gym. When you realize how long it’s been since you’ve hit the gym, you’ll realize you need to change up your routine to stop being a lazy couch potato.
Please, address your attention to the couch workout. That’s right, you can get a solid, sweat producing workout all from the comfort of your couch. There are a number of interval, muscle-building workouts you can do using just your couch and body weight.
Exercises such as lunges, tricep dips, walking push ups, and more will even have you feeling sore the next day. Take a half hour out of your binge watching time to do some of these workouts. You don’t even have to stop watching your show! It will likely help distract you from all of that physical activity you’re finally doing.
