Benefit Cosmetics has had a longtime following, with cult products like its Roller Lash Curling Mascara and POREfessional pore-minimizing primer. Their products are top quality, incredibly fun, and appeal to a wide audience. But the company has gone one step further and has just launched a campaign with a powerful message. Kate Grant, a model with Down Syndrome, is the newest Benefit ambassador.

The 20-year-old model had been a fan of the brand, and posted a photo with Benefit eyeliner on Instagram, where it quickly received thousands of likes and applause. Then, Benefit decided Grant would be the perfect ambassador, and a great personality to help launch their new eyeliner.

“She is paving the way for people coming behind her,” said Kate’s mom Deidre. “Kate is aware of that and wants to spread awareness about inclusion for people with disabilities and that is what she has done from the very start. She is aware that she is able to do that in a way some of her friends cannot. She is using her voice for them.”

Benefit has already said that they hope to work with Kate in upcoming campaigns as well, and fans agree that seeing more diversity in the beauty industry is a huge win!
