In a world of burgers and fries, pizza and soda, it can be darn near impossible to stick to a healthy diet 100% of the time. But with a few simple lifestyle changes, you can implement healthy eating habits into your life every single day.

#1 – Nix The Distractions

TV, work, books, arts & crafts… sure, these are all common pastime but they are also activities during which people are apt to binge eat. Instead of grabbing that bowl of chips or butter covered popcorn, limit your eating/snacking to times when you’re able to completely devote your attention to eating and focusing on what you’re eating. Mindless eating while doing other activities can lead to unconscious over eating which can then lead to an unhealthy expanding waistline.

#2 – Cut Your Portions in Half

If you tend to be one of the many people who eat larger meals than necessary, this tips is for you. Load your plate with your usual amount of food, then take half of it off the plate and save it for later or the next day. Doing this will allow you to practice portion control and, often times, you’ll find that you’re perfectly satisfied with half as must food as your would have eaten.

#3 – Up Your Water Intake

Most people know water is the key to health and hydration, but when you drink may be just as important as how much you drink. Try this: drink 8oz of water prior to ever single meal or snack throughout the day. Not only will this help you boost your overall hydration level but you may find you’re a more full prior to beginning the meal and this may aid in preventing overeating.
