If you are looking to define your waist and achieve a nice infamous hourglass shape, these three exercises are the solution. Not only will they tighten and flatten your abdomen, but they will specifically target your obliques so you can say farewell to those unwanted love handles.
The first exercise is the seated cross crunch or the “bicycle crunch.” Sitting on your bottom, place your hands behind your head and twist so that the opposite elbow meets the opposite knee. Repeat on both sides in one continuous motion.
The second oblique-shredding exercise is the twist step punch. Punch your right arm across your body while simultaneously stepping back with the same leg and then repeat with the left side.
The final exercise is the sprint lunge twist. Drive one knee up to a 90 degree angle and rotate your body toward the bent knee. While doing this, be sure to drive the elbows back. Keep switching sides as you go.
